As he refers to himself, BLACKO, has emerged with a fashion style that is as bit as audacious and unrepentant as the words in his songs. His recent appearance during a performance in the Gambia was no exception.

The VGMA Artiste of the Year delivered an incredible performance on November 25, his first time playing in the Gambia, earning the audience's respect.

However, it wasn't just the performance that caught the attention of the audience – Black Sherif's costume choice was just as bold as expected, but a far cry from his usual oversized trousers.

It turns out that by dressed like a Kankurang, Black Sherif was honoring the customs of his Gambian audience. It appears that this Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity served as the idea for the costume's look, which resembled crimson fibers.
